About the Tektronix TDS3000 Line :

Tektronix based in Beaverton, Oregon announced in 1999 the release of the TDS3000 series. This series, called the DPO (Digital Phosphor Oscilloscope) series, replicated the analog persistence effect of older CRT oscilloscopes. Tektronix has received numerous awards for the quality and performance of these oscilloscopes. For the first time, this technology allowed for unprecedented trace sharpness to be displayed on a superb TFT colour screen. This real-time technology combined a sampling rate of up to 5 Gs/s with a maximum analogue bandwidth of 600 MHz over 4 channels in a compact package.

The TDS3000 series is arguably the most widely produced oscilloscope in the world for almost 20 years.

The first models TDS3012, TDS3014, TDS3024, TDS3032, TDS3034, TDS3052, TDS3054 had a bandwidth of 100, 200, 300, 500 MHz 2 or 4 channels. The second version called TDS3000B additionally offered a LAN port and 200, 400 & 600MHz models and on the TDS3000C version the 3 ½ inch drive was replaced by a USB drive. The TDS3000s offer several options such as a GP-IB, RS-232, Centronics, parallel communication port, battery, printer and a multitude of easily upgradable advanced measurements.

Leasametric exclusively offers to change the 3 ½ inch drive to an SD drive (models 3000 and 3000B).

These oscilloscopes are still very much in demand on the second-hand market for their quality, ease of use and robustness. Leasametric continues to sell them, calibrate them in its ISO 9001 certified laboratory and has a huge stock of spare parts to ensure support for many years.
