The PXI-8176 (Part Numbers: 778468-00, 778468-01, 778468-02, 187317K-012 and 187317D-612) is a Pentium III Embedded Controller for CompactPCI and PXI. This high-performing Embedded Controller can be combined with a PXI chassis, such as the PXI-1020 or PXI-1025 for a small PC platform ideal for data acquisition.
The NI PXI-8176 Controller has an internal USB-to-PS/2 adapter, which is activated automatically when the Controller is installed in the PXI-1020 or PXI-1025 Chassis.
The PXI 8176 is one of the best performing models of the NI 8171 Series with a 1.26 GHz Pentium III processor, a GPIB interface, and up to 512 KB advanced transfer cache.
PXI-8176 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but this controller will still be available for purchase and repairs by Leasametric.
