The early history of Keysight / Agilent :

HP was originally founded in 1939 by William Hewlett and Dave Packard, two electronic engineers who were responsible for many of the innovations that changed the world of electronics and our daily lives.

Hewlett-Packard designs, manufactures and markets test and measurement instruments with its first product being a precision low-frequency oscillator, the HP200A https://hu.wikipedia.org/wiki/HP200A designed in 1939 in a garden shed.

The Hewlett-Packard brand became Agilent Technologies in the early 2000s and then quickly became Keysight. The Agilent Technologies brand was retained for the medical part.

ABOUT THE 83600B AND L SERIES OF KEYSIGHT/AGILENT SYNTHESISED GENERATORS :

The Agilent 83600B and L series of RF generators have been widely sold around the world because they are reliable, cost-effective and efficient. These generators can generate signals from 10 MHz to 50 GHz with good spectral purity, they offer vobulator function, modulations (B series only, L version is an economy version), high output level, pulsed modulations for radar applications. They have been designed for easy configuration and operation, full programming via the HP-IB interface and can work with the 8510 series vector network analysers as an RF source (models 83621B, 631B and 651B).
