- Fusion splicer features a 5″ LCD monitor with touch screen,
- 132 to 300x magnification,
- 15-17 sec. heat time in 60 mm slim mode,
- 100 splice and 30 heat modes,
- The internal memory stores up to 20,000 splices and 100 images,
- Electrode life is up to 6,000 arc discharges,
- If the cleaved fiber is accidentally set past the electrode centerline, manual operation is not required,
- The 45S is designed to accept this mistake and reverse the fiber to correct position automatically.

The Fujikura 45S is a 3-axis dynamic alignment welder. Using Bluetooth Active Blade Management technology, the 45S connects wirelessly to the CT50 Fiber Cleaver and offers a range of innovative features that overall improve installation time, cost and efficiency for users.
The 45S also has the unique ability to estimate splice loss with greater accuracy, using a new loss estimation function based on the fiber core.
The 45S is the latest connection solution completely designed for field use in the deployment of FTTH networks. It will nevertheless find its place in the creation of datacom networks, Data Centers, LAN business networks and in the local telecom loop.
The Fujikura 45S emulates the qualities that have made the reputation of Fujikura welders: welding performance, repeatability over time, enhanced reliability for field use. It is light and compatible with the different fibers used in networks (including G651, G652, G655, G657 fibers).
