About the NX5 EM TEST multifunction generator :

This NX5 EM TEST generator is ergonomic and compact. It is available for rental, purchase or refurbished by Leasametric.

The NX 5 generator is the first and only equipment in its field of application. Indeed it automatically detects the power configuration of your EST, and thus only selects the coupling of the active lines. From its large library of integrated standards, the generator will only offer the user tests corresponding to the desired configuration. The generator also automatically selects the mains signal frequency (50/60 Hz).

Each test is illustrated with a picture describing the test setup according to the current standard. The user can also load a picture of the setup via a USB stick, thus considerably reducing the risk of assembly errors.

The NX-5 also integrates real-time measurement of voltage, current and frequency of your Equipment under Test (EST) and is equipped with a current limiter function. This allows you to perform tests safely and in full compliance with IEC 61010. Two inputs at the rear of the device allow you to control the test sequences in progress according to the status of your TSE.

The generator is equipped with a powerful ARM Cortex A9 QuadCore processor. It is delivered with iec.control control software, supported by Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 and 8.

The tests performed are as follows :

• IEC 61000-4-4: Fast Electrical Transients in Burst (TERS) also called Burst,
• IEC 61000-4-5: Shock wave, also called Surge (combination wave 1.2/50 – 8/20 µs),
• IEC 61000-4-11/29: Voltage dips and variations in AC and DC, also called Power Fail,
• IEC 61000-4-8: Magnetic field at mains frequency (50 Hz / 60 Hz)*,
• IEC 61000-4-9: Impulse magnetic field*,

* with optional accessories.

Highlights of the EM TEST NX5 are as follows :

• Measurement of the voltage / current / frequency / power (by calculation) of the EST allowing to monitor the state of the equipment under test during the test,
• Parameters can be adjusted via the numeric keypad for better ergonomics,
• Display of all parameters by pulses (V, tr, td, etc…) illustrated by a picture for a better understanding,
• Ability to import your own setup photos,
• Tests are pre-configured for the user, and tests on unused lines are not offered to the user, limiting the risk of error.
