About the 8500 BK Precision Electronic Load Series:
Programmable DC electronic loads allow a variety of DC power sources to be tested and evaluated. They have wide operating ranges up to 500 V and 240 A. BK Precision’s 8500 Series is well suited for characterising DC power supplies, DC-DC converters, batteries, fuel cells and solar cells.
These loads have full protection against overtemperature, overvoltage, overcurrent, overpower and reverse polarity.
The 8500 BK Precision Series electronic loads operate in DC, CV, CR or CP mode while voltage/current or resistance/power values are measured and displayed in real time.
Some of the built-in features include:
- Integrated transient voltage generator,
- Short circuit test,
- Integrated high resolution voltage and current measurement (0.1 mA/1 mV) (models 8500 and 8502),
- USB to TTL serial converter cables and application software,
- List mode operation to increase throughput,
- Battery test mode to provide A/H battery rating,
- Remote voltage detection to compensate for the effect of voltage drop in the wires,
- RS 232 interface cable and software.
